So after a summer of thesis writing for some…internships, classes, and vacations for others…we are ready to hit the new semester with some speed. So classes start this coming week and we have some CCS activities planned to get new and old students involved.
The Fall 2011 PLUS Student Orientation will be on Wednesday, August 24 at 7:00 pm in Milneburg Hall Room 165. All students in the Department of Planning and Urban Studies (PLUS) are invited to attend. The one hour program will include an introduction of all faculty members (including two new visiting faculty), discussion of our degree programs, and brief presentations on upcoming special events as well as student-sponsored programs and social gatherings scheduled in PLUS during the coming year. Light refreshments and conversation will follow the formal program.
At this event we will be discussing leadership positions in the Crescent City Shapers. Anyone who knows they would be interested in a position at guiding this humble student organization is encouraged to contact Bridget Tydor at firstname.lastname@example.org. These positions will be listed on a subsequent post.
